“The Garden” – The fourteen acre community garden at 41st and Alameda in South Central Los Angeles is the largest of its kind in the United States. Started as a form of healing after the sarcastic LA Riots in 1992 to bring the South Central Farmers in the world, as a miracle, created in one of the most devastated country neighborhoods.

But now, bulldozers are waiting to 14-acre sanctum level. The silent film “The Garden” follows the plight of the farmers, from the dregs of the urban built-up are those killed by the civilized marble of the town hall.
Most immigrants from Latin America, from countries where they fear for their lives if they were so out to speak, we are waiting for them to organize, Gripper Master Mash B, and demand answers: Why was the property sold to a wealthy developer million less than fair market value? Why the agreement was done in a closed doors meeting of the LA City Council? Why has it been made illustrious conditions? And the authorities know the same answer: “The garden is wonderful, but there is nothing we can do.” If everyone told you nothing more could be done, would you give?
The Oscar-nominated film (Best Documentary) “The Garden” has the pulse of verité with the narrative pull of fiction, the substantial history of the country’s largest Urban Farm, off backroom deals, developers, nave politics, money, thinness, power and racial disharmony. The film explores and exposes the derailment lines in American comradeship and it raises important and difficult questions about freedom, equality and fair-mindedness to the poorest and most vulnerable among us.
